Interviewing tips

💡
The onsite will be just as much a time for you as it will be for us. We want you to leave feeling confident in your understanding of us and how we work!

- Craft questions: Take time before your interview to think about the questions you want to ask to ensure we're a good fit for you. We expect questions to go in both directions.
- Answer fully: Ask "did I answer your question?" after giving an answer. When you don't, sometimes the person with the question won't follow up with this. This isn't good for anyone. A helpful hack to ensure people are getting what they need and you're setting yourself up for success!
- Breathe: Take a breath and have fun with it. We want to get to know you and what makes you unique.

💡 Come prepared with 2-3 projects in your favorite presentation software. We want to hear the full story of how you came to those solutions and the challenges you faced along the way. We're looking to understand how you think, collaborate, and execute. Keep in mind that Hightouch is a technical product and anything that highlights complexity, technical collaboration, and systems thinking is great to showcase!

Overall presentation
- Time: 1 hour (40 mins of content, 20 mins for questions)
- Set the scene: What have you been working on and what are you looking to work on next. This context helps us better understand your goals and how they align with the role.
- Facilitation: Ensure your slides are readable for everyone in the room (size and contrast). Include everyone in the conversation.
- Process & journey: While we expect to hear you lay out your process from a high level, we really want to hear the stories where you put your process into action.
Per project
- Timeline: When did the project take place? How long did you work on it?
